Friday, January 2nd, 2009Sam Adams was sworn in as the mayor of Portland, Oregon on January 1st, 2009. This makes Portland the largest city in the US to ever have a gay mayor, an issue that was not touched upon during the race. Another issue that wasn’t touched upon – his hair!
